Your tasks and responsibilities

Attached to the Supply Chain Strategy & Excellence Department, the Active Ingredients Strategy Manager will be ensuring the following missions:

  • Cumulating of region-specific AI demands on global level in order to plan and coordinate production of AI, intermediates and key raw materials considering inventory requirements
  • Planning global AI and intermediates production on basis of the actual production network as well as planning sourcing of AI and key raw materials in cooperation with procurement
  • Ensure on-time supply of respective material to demanding regional product supply and support in case of unplanned demands or surplus inventories
  • Steer and facilitate global S&OP process for respective AIs (including recommendation for AIs allocation to ES LT and Regional teams)
  • Recommend global Inventory budget for respective AI’s in close cooperation with Performance Management Function
  • Support Active Ingredient cost optimization and AI lead time reduction
  • Elaborate and propose supply strategy for assigned AIs to meet different business strategy scenarios, including risk management mitigation strategies related to AIs
  • Develop and optimize the supply strategy for the respective assets in the entire production network
  • Proactively initiate and monitor process change procedures in collaboration with Management of Change team
  • Lead the development and implementation of a long term, Global Supply Chain strategy for a defined portfolio / product range including but not limited to the manufacturing, supplier, warehousing, transportation, cost, and flexibility strategy.
  • Define and coordinate the commercialization activities for new or modified ES products to ensure timely and successful product transitions and launches.
  • Identify and lead CoGS savings projects considering the entire supply chain flows, product and packaging cost improvements, as well as transportation and warehousing optimization.
  • Attend and if required initiate company project meetings as the Supply Chain representative working directly with Global BES Marketing and Innovation teams.

Who you are

  • Graduate of a Master Degree in Supply Chain or equivalent, you can justify a minimum of 7 years of experience in this field.
  • You have knowledge in APO, SAP and Office Pack software (Excel, Powerpoint ...).
  • You have ability to manage, coordinate, and integrate diverse people, processes, and organizational resources to achieve common goals.
  • You are able to work, deliver results in a complex and international environment.
  • You have high interpersonal and communication skills. You are pedagogical and proactive.
  • You are fluent in English (spoken and written) and fluency in any other language is a plus.
