Your responsibilities

Lead and Empower the Team:

  • You will take charge of our internal IT team (4 FTE), providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to elevate the team’s performance.

Drive Operational Excellence:

  • You’ll oversee the smooth operation of local business applications and IT systems in line with Saint-Gobain Group IT and cybersecurity standards.

Deliver IT Projects:

  • From conception to completion, you will manage and execute projects that enhance scalability, efficiency, and reusability while meeting business needs.

Be Hands-On When Needed:

  • Besides being able to delegate, you’ll actively step in and tackle operational tasks, setting the example for your team.

Collaborate Across Boundaries:

  • Work closely with business functional teams, Group IT services, external suppliers, and the regional CIO to ensure alignment and seamless cooperation.

Act as a Strategic Business Partner:

  • Analyze pain points and inefficiencies, propose IT solutions that add value, and contribute to planning and building business cases that support organizational goals.

Profile

Educational Background:

  • You hold a degree in business informatics, computer science, or a comparable qualification.

Leadership and Experience:

  • You have several years of experience managing IT teams and services (e.g., ITSM/ITIL) and a proven track record of successfully implementing IT projects.

Technical Expertise:

  • You possess in-depth knowledge of IT architecture, business applications, systems, and security concepts. Your hands-on approach ensures you’re ready to dive into technical challenges when needed.

Communication and Language Skills:

  • You are fluent in German and English, enabling effective collaboration in an international environment.

Flexibility and Mobility:

  • You’re open to regional travel and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
