Job tasks

Customer Implementation (IMPAT)

  • Direct Country implementation teams & guide country resources
  • Drive Country Implementation processes and maturity
  • Execute Customer Implementation projects

Business Process Management

  • Drive local to global process harmonization & process optimization
  • Ensure global best practices are replicated and drive our IRR goals
  • Contribute to definition of business requirements for new solutions & enhancements and participate in UAT of solutions
  • Act as Business Partner to the GSC, ensuring we achieve a quality service

Business Process & System Training

  • Assess training requirements based on global standard operating process, system changes and user needs
  • Define and provide targeted, process-oriented training programs

Systems Support & Change Management

  • Provide support to Super Users for business processes & systems supported
  • Analyse support requests to identify trends or training needs
  • Act as business process functional advisor to facilitate the resolution of applications issues

GSOP Quality & Sustainability Mgmt.

  • Lead development of ISO framework for the country
  • Monitor and ensure countries adherence to the quality standards framework.
  • Conduct ISO internal audit to ensure maintenance and adherence
  • Track performance of external audits

Planning

  • Supported by the Country Managing Director, define the Country BPO/ IT Plan (short and long term) in accordance with the regional/global IT/BPO direction
  • Act as a key member of the DGF Country Management Team, set country directions and plans.
  • Implement the DGF IT/BPO Integration / Planning projects at a Country / Stations level
  • Contribute to improving business P&L through effective management of DGF IT services and solutions
  • Manage the DGF IT Budget and creation of business cases for required investments.
  • Contribute to convergence of the local applications to the strategic IT product portfolio

Business Partner

  • Ensure IT/BPO activities align with DGF business unit’s goals and priorities
  • Establish regular reviews with DGF Country business leaders – raising the visibility and value of IT/BPO
  • Liaises with IT service providers based in-country and in other countries where services may be provided / hosted

Project Delivery

  • Co-ordinate the planning of project delivery requirements with the Regional CIO/BPO team
  • Ensure effective delivery of projects – on quality, on time and within budget

Operate

  • Manage the operation of local applications to support business needs
  • Manage delivery of infrastructure services (from internal and external providers)

Management

  • Develop and maintain a motivated DGF Country IT/BPO Team of competent managers and staff
  • Assess regularly skills and competency’s within the Country IT/BPO Team ensuring training and development plans in place to address gaps / needs
  • In conjunction with Regional CIO/BPO determine the Business-IT/BPO organisational structure, roles, critical success factors and goals
  • Ensure effective communication structure in place i.e. weekly / monthly team meetings

Profile

  • In depth knowledge of product and related processes, especially in Air and Ocean freight as well as other areas of Freight Forwarding and Logistics

  • Minimum 5 to 10 years’ experience in the Freight Forwarding Industry/ IT, accompanied with a wide experience at senior level in a service oriented business
  • 3 years of in depth business process management experience, preferably in Logistics industry
  • University bachelor degree in a business discipline or relevant education and work experience preferably in Forwarding / Logistics sector
  • Fluent in French and English (verbal and written)
