Bosch

At Bosch, we care. For you, our business, and our environment. Our promise to our associates is rock-solid: we grow together, we enjoy our work, and we inspire each other. Join in and feel the difference.

In 1886, Robert Bosch founded the “Workshop for Precision Mechanics and Electrical Engineering” in Stuttgart. This was the birth of today‘s globally operating company. Right from the start, it was characterized by innovative strength and social commitment.

For us, sustainability means securing the company’s long-term success while at the same time protecting the natural resources on which present and future generations depend. Ecology is thus a driver of innovation. At the same time, we demonstrate a particularly high level of corporate social responsibility — both within the company and beyond.

Compliance is an integral part of our company’s values. With rules of conduct that apply around the world, we aim to protect our associates and company as well as our customers and partners.

Your tasks

  • You will join an international team of engineers developing and maintaining our CI/CD system, which currently consists of Jenkins, Jira, Gitolite/GitLab/GitHub and Artifactory
  • As CI/CD software engineer you will be responsible for setting up pipelines, improving (legacy) build tooling (embedded Linux, Android and QNX), and working on concepts for further automation
  • The goal of the team you will join is to provide our distributed developers with a CI/CD system that gives meaningful feedback from automated testing and thereby enables them to continuously deliver high quality software
  • We also maintain our CI/CD system as an asset which is delivered to our customers (Robert Bosch Car Multimedia GmbH and DENSO)

Your profile

  • Software development is not only your job but also your passion
  • Experience in the programming language Python (or similar languages)
  • You think in object-oriented programming, modular design and UML
  • Experience with (Meta-)Build-Tooling and Revision-Control-Systems and with SW build infrastructure such as OS, network and databases is preferred
  • Some experience working with REST APIs is beneficial.
  • You feel at home working in a Linux/Unix environment
  • You prefer test driven development over other methods.
  • Knowledge of functional safety aspects is beneficial
  • Good to excellent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a similar qualification
  • Ability to cooperate with developers and suppliers in an international environment (Japan, India, Vietnam)

  • Self-contained and target-oriented working-style
