Mission and responsibilities

Customer intimacy with key contacts (Purchasing, Engineering, Programs):

  • Interface with the customer at senior level
  • Build long term relationships with key staff at top management level in the client organization
  • Understand customers’ perceived gaps to competition and propose solutions

Profitability & growth of customer accounts:

  • Strategic Account Planning (SAP) with mid term vision and growth objectives
  • New business acquisition order intake in line with SAP objectives
  • Programs in development – financial dashboard aligned with SAP objectives at Start Of Production
  • Serial life – continuous improvement of Variable Cost Margin and Sales/Purchasing Squeeze
  • Positive R&D P&L to finance growth

Leadership of team of Sales and Program Managers:

  • Effective team building (recruitment, coaching, developing and promoting people)
  • Staffing at the right level to meet acquisitions & program workload
  • Establishing ambitious targets and measuring progress

Specific responsibilities for Programs :

  • Oversee all Programs in the defined perimeter
  • Proactive management of Programs from Award to Start of Production (check deliverables from customer / internal, arbitrations, quality & engineering convergence)
  • Launch preparation & readiness : lead all actions / decisions to support non-event launches
  • Engineering Change Requests : lead disciplined / systematic selling of ECRs to improve account profitability and cash position
  • Tooling : sell tooling with adequate commissioning fees and collect the cash on time

Specific responsibilities for Sales :

  • Prepare list of targeted acquisitions
  • Develop acquisition strategies and tactics to win business with satisfactory KPIs & contractual terms
  • Pro-actively support selling of innovation using value pricing
  • Effective negotiation of claims & ECRs
  • Develop and maintain a positive commercial balance on the “Squeeze” (commercial productivity – LTAs, one-offs, incremental, texturing… , VA-VE, economics, raw materials pass through, claims, new businesses)
  • Team player within the Faurecia Global CBU organization

Profile

  • Business Masters Degree or Engineering Degree with a willingness to develop a career path in business
  • 10 to 15 years experience in sales with a succesful track record with one or two customers in the automotive industry
  • Experience in program management
  • International exposure
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Knowledge of the composite industry and its products
  • Demonstrated competency in relationship management and sales negotiation
  • Comfortable with financial reporting and business models
  • Accountable and results oriented
  • Excellent leadership skills; able to build and participate in successful teams
  • Entrepreneurial mindset within an international business context
  • Good communication, listening and presentation skills
  • Conflict management skills: ability to prevent and solve conflicts
  • High ethical standards in all business dealings
