Tasks

  • Work on all export control matters handled by the department, as a support for the more sectoral focused team members, including Fr, UK, German, EU and US export regulations
  • Supporting the compliance of offers (screening & contractual review)
  • Ensure compliance of intangible assets in the support division
  • Perform all mandatory export control actions: requesting the necessary authorizations from the competent authorities and implementing import and export controls, archiving the various documents in accordance with the regulatory provisions, ensure that procedures are implemented within the business and to verify their application at operational level, etc.

Profile

  • Min 3 years of experience working in a multinational environment advising on international trade and export control matters
  • Business acumen and ethical behaviour in a heavily regulated business environment
  • Expert knowledge of Fr, EU, German, UK and US military and dual-use export controls
  • University educated
  • Strong leadership and communication skills ; sound business judgment; ability to appropriately involve others in consultations and decisions
  • Excellent writing skills required to write and edit policies and procedures, reports and memorandums
  • Strong relationship building, networking, interpersonal and communication skills
  • High degree of initiative, credibility, independence, integrity, confidentiality and trust
  • Ability to quickly earn the respect of senior management in order to be credible and effective in this complex and constantly-developing environment
  • Languages: Commercially fluent in English and French; German is considered a plus.
