Your tasks

• Applying Virtual Reality and Digital Imaging (VR & DI) technologies with state-of-the-art software tools and bringing it into various applications for virtual product & process development within the Saint-Gobain group, making use of physical-based rendering
• Building-up a tool for virtual validation used in co-developments & virtual product development together with partners and customers (UX/agile design approach)
• Prepare design models for VR & DI presentations, installations and studies
• Scouting, monitoring and consulting activity on VR & DI technology trends and technology infrastructure for a Saint-Gobain R&D centre (Software, Hardware, measurement technologies)
• Find new applications and solutions for VR & DI together with other departments (e.g. production, marketing, FabLab), R&D projects and external partners (e.g. Universities)

Your profile

• University degree in natural sciences, engineering, design or equivalent (M.Sc./Eng.)
• Highly interested in VR & DI and other cutting edge technologies
• Prior knowledge in 3D CAD design or programming is favorable, but not mandatory
• Being free-minded and keep innovative thinking for bringing together state-of-the-art virtual technologies and new applications
• Self-driven and motivated team-player, willing to cooperate with internal and external partners within an international environment
• Very good command of spoken and written English, German is a plus
