Missions
- Ensure supplier selection from the agreed supplier panel: identify and consult suppliers, manages supplier RFQ based on panel given by the Commodity Buyers.
- Negotiate or participate with the BG Commodity Buyers in supplier negotiations and in the final choice of supplier (leads sourcing committee process to select suppliers from list provided by Commodity Buyers)
- Track performance during the program phase: manage suppliers, compare costs with objectives, ensure quality during the program phase, respect delivery deadlines and in particular ensure that the program phase are respected
- Negotiate Engineering Change Requests
- Lead the global steering and sourcing committee meetings for the program and ensure that the purchasing assumptions are optimized on a global basis, considering local and global sourcing options and selecting the option with the best landed cost and performance
- Create catalogue of components in line with group strategy and specifically IdP
Profile
- Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Business.
- Nice to have: Professional Purchasing Qualification
Experience :
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience including a program buyer or program manager experience in an industrial environment
- Experience working in an international environment
- Nice to have: Previous International Assignment
Skills and competencies:
- Understanding of product design, development and production launch processes
- Knowledge of supplier cost structures
- Understanding of purchasing commodity strategy
- Fluent English
- Strong written and oral presentation skills
- Good planning, organization and project management skills
- International mindset
- Ability to work in a matrix organization
- Global leadership of a functional team
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of APQP and program management in automotive
- Another language depending on the region
- Strong analytical capabilities
