Supply Chain Quality Field Engineer, Hamburg

We are currently looking to recruit candidates for this position of Field Engineer at all levels of seniority for our teams in France, Germany and Spain. Supply Chain Quality Field Engineers (FE) are Lean/ Six-Sigma/ Operation Management experts who drive improvement at our suppliers' sites. As such, you will be travelling frequently around these sites in Europe.

They are deployed in a variety of missions to secure our supply chain, relying on Lean/ Six-Sigma methodologies and tools to optimize supplier processes, leading to improved quality and delivery performance.

• Candidates should have at least 5 years of working experience in Lean/Six-Sigma/Operation management environment.
• Candidates with 12 years and over of experience are welcome for Senior FE positions

Tasks

As a Field Engineer you will be implementing Corrective/ Improvement/ Development/ Assessment missions at suppliers, using a variety of Airbus standardized tools and techniques such as Lean/ Six-Sigma methodologies. In order to deliver results in compliance with our business objectives, you will be leading these missions to:

• Secure supplier quality and on time delivery to the required level,
• Improving supplier performance through implementing advanced actions,
• Improve supply chain robustness whilst eliminating waste,
• Enhance supplier relationships by supporting them in building robustness in their supply chain and conduct the creation of Continuous Improvement plans or road-maps,
• Report regularly and managing feedback to internal customers,
• Support the improvement of Airbus processes, amongst others.

Profile

1. Excellent knowledge and demonstrated understanding of Continuous Improvement including

• Lean/Six-Sigma/operation management tools with applications -delivering tangible results.
• Lean/Six-Sigma and APICS certification are a real advantage.

2. You will have a relevant Degree or equivalent qualification in a related subject area.
3. Experience working in one or more of the following fields: manufacturing, supply chain, quality and manufacturing engineering.
4. Good project management, supplier management and /or team management skills.
5. Good knowledge of MS Office as well as other IT tools (SAP).
6. You will also possess strong leadership skills, as well as assertiveness and diplomacy. You will also be capable of working autonomously and be able to take decisions.
