For our client one of the world's largest exhibition organizer we are looking for the office in Germany for a:
Sales Director Germany (responsible for the French exhibition show portfolio ), m/f, Düsseldorf,
Germany
Key responsibilities
• Ensure the Germany team show portfolio achieves space, VAS and revenue targets.
• Manage the portfolio of shows that are sold by the Germany team and ensure that every show is assigned to the best suited sales person and receives optimal selling time and activity.
• Ensure every show sold has a sales and marketing plan written by the responsible sales executive and appropriate for the required activity levels and expected revenue.
• Motivate and coach each team member to achieve their show targets with frequent reviews of their activity, their individual show sales and marketing plans and analysis of complete their portfolio situation.
• Keep country management and corporate management up to date with accurate sales to date, forecasts, pipelines and timely red flags.
• Implement and manage the application of sales effectiveness processes, best practices and behaviors to ensure consistent and widespread application across the Germany sales team
• Be a visible, accessible, inspiring and motivating leader of the the Germany sales team.
• Develop a commercial plan for the the Germany sales team. Communicate to the Germany team members and corporate management. Ensure the plan is a rolling plan keeping up to date with all show sales cycles.
• Ensure the Leads Database is used correctly for all relevant shows and that usage is tracked.
• Develop a VAS (Value added services and sponsorship) plan to deliver Germany sales team's VAS targets. Maintain team focus on VAS targets, track progress and regularly publish results.
• Continually seek out new business opportunities.
• Source and arrange targeted sales training, organize workshops and sharing days to improve sales competencies and sales effectiveness. Maintain training and development plans for all staff.
• Help recruit and retain high calibre sales professionals.
• Ensure all staff in Germany sales team are aware of the correct SFDC processes and that these are practiced by all.
• Be an active contributor to the leadership team and support the development of Germany strategy.
• Build a strong team ethos and develop a reputation for Germany being a ‘world class selling organization'.
Your profile
• An inspiring individual with the ability to lead, motivate and develop an inexperienced team
• A proven sales champion eager to pass on their skills and experience
• Experience working in exhibition Industry
• Experience working in an international environment and dealing with various diverse cultures
• Knowledge of sales management best practice and particularly telephone sales techniques
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Commercial sense for business analysis and development
• High level of independent thinking, responsibility and maturity
• Language skill fluent French, German and English in both writing and oral. Another language an advantage.
• Frequent travel is required, particularly international.
