Job Description

A vacancy for a Project Leader (d/f/m) Ground segment Space has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Friedrichshafen. The successful applicant will join “PM SARah”.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Management of the project SARah ground segment by means of agile project management
• Achievement of the project goals (time, scope, costs, quality) to the satisfaction of the customer and according to the internal and external rules and regulations.
• Active (internal and external) management of risks and rewards and of the contract
• Ensure effective partner and supplier management
• Effective stakeholder management
• Resource planning in coordination with the specialist departments
• Design and effective coordination with product development
• Focal point for all programmatic aspects of the ground segment within the overall SARah project vis-à-vis the management and the customer
• Control of the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
• Close cooperation with the other project managers and program management within SARah as well as the product management Ground Segment

Profile

• University Degree in aerospace engineering or comparable
• Extensive professional experience in project management and project lifecycle management (OQOTOC)
• Experience in stakeholder management, including managing customer needs and expectations
• Knowledge of contract and change management as well as the relevant rules for awarding subcontracts
• Experience in risk and resource management
• Knowledge in the field of ground segments and/or space travel is a prerequisite
• Knowledge with military customers desirable
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to coach, guide and keep track of a large project team on a variety of topics
• Stress-resistance and a pronounced problem-solving competence
• Fluent knowledge of German essential
