Tasks

M&A Projects (depending on the seasonality and the activity):

  • Handle financial analysis and deals structuring, business plans, valuation models and profitability projections, insure coordination with AZT Group functions, AZ SE and Advisors (banks, lawyers) on valuation.
  • Contribute to Due Diligence processes and transactions follow-up
  • Set up/document/maintain Allianz Trade M&A processes & standards
  • Market, technology & competition surveillance to efficiently detect & evaluate business growth opportunities & afferent risks

Investment Strategy (on a daily to weekly basis (outside of M&A project periods))

  • Monitor capital markets environment and impacts on investment portfolios (consolidated balance sheets > 5bn EUR), participate in Allianz Investment Management (AIM)’s life.
  • Analyze investment opportunities (and generate investment ideas) for the portfolios
  • Assist in the implementation of investment decisions and monitor their execution by Asset Managers, maintaining a smooth day-to-day interface with them
  • Monitor, interpret and analyze portfolios performances, financial results and compare them to the AZT Group’s financial targets (income and P&L generation, IFRS 9 KPIs etc.)
  • Participate in the elaboration and presentation of communications to sponsors about portfolio activities (Group BoM through quarterly FICO, monthly local CFO meetings, Local Boards, Allianz SE / AIM SE regular requests…)

Profile

  • Minimum 3 years M&A analyst, preferably on regulated businesses (Bank and Insurance).
  • Bullet-proof integrity, transparency, confidentiality and market good conduct
  • Ethical decision-making and corporate responsibility state of mind
  • Strong technical capacities in reading and analyzing financial statements
  • Familiar and at ease with Insurance and Financial accounting
  • Advanced and proven valuation capacities
  • Team-player and autonomous
  • Advanced knowledge of software (Office pack and PowerBI in particular)
  • Flexibility, adaptability and prioritization capacities (workflow can be overwhelming at specific times of the year)
  • Able to cope with emergency and constrained timelines
