Main tasks are

• Support of the development of BMW G70 SmartBar (pre-development) following the FIS Innovation process guideline.
• Supports the IPL Volker Doll by creation of 3D CAD models for concepts, feasibility studies and detailed solutions in 3D design following the FIS design guidelines and recommendations from Industrial Design
• Support Project reviews internally and to the customer.
• Supports/leads the documenting of results in form of 3D CAD models, reports, presentations, drawings, samples for presentation, etc.
• Ensure patent protection on innovative solutions in close cooperation with the Intellectual Assets Department (IAD).
• Acts cost-consciously in all aspects of business (project, travel etc).

Profile

• Degree in Engineering, ideally in engineering disciplines: Tooling, Polymer/Composite, TMechanisms, Mechatronics, HMI, Lighting.
• CAD 3D design advanced knowledge with focus on air vents
• At least 1-2 years pre-development experience within an industrial environment, especially in the automotive industry.
• Structured & systematic with scientific/engineering mindset.
• Team Player with extended communication skills at all levels.
• Self driven & dynamic.
• International mindset.
• At least bi-lingual (English is compulsory, German is a real plus).
