The main missions
Standard to:
- Deploy standard in coordination with central department (CPO)
- Contribute to specify standard and special equipment (managed by process specialists) : Welding cell, Canning, engraving, leak testing etc… to manage cost, installation and maintainability of the machines
- Contribute to establish Standards for Automation Equipment: PLC, Data Exchange, barcode readers, etc. Conduct equipment tests and present decision matrix for materials, solution, and strategy
- Promote best practice, capitalize experience,
- Contribute to establish and update working procedures to implement traceability, automation, predictive maintenance, Big Data Analysis, Digital Enterprise, Industrie 4.0, system interfaces SAP/machines (with CPO)
Programmes to:
- Ensure, for each program, that traceability needs are defined with Process specialist, PML (Program Manufacturing Leader) and PQL (Program Quality leader): formalize the needs for each program.
- Lead the definition of the machine data exchange parameters and manage the interface with GIS (Group Information System)
- Define rules to handle smart and right level of automation in our equipment by specifying, getting quotations, launching, following and making reception of subcontracted work package for automation, robotics and cobotics
- Control that defined standard of traceability/automation materials are used by our equipment supplier
- Propose new ideas for automation and control processes, writing and reading of parts identifiers …by respecting standard in place
- Trouble shooting at plant for issues within Europe and eventually worldwide
Networking (at a global level of FCM) to:
- Train plant automation specialists to achieve know-how transfer
- Drive cost saving initiatives in the plants
- Participate to the Automation and traceability network in order to feedback specific needs and experience using the standards
Profile
- Mechatronic or Industrial automation professional with Technologist or engineering degree
- 3 to 10 years of experience in the development of automation systems for manufacturing equipment ; ideally from Automotive industry or comparable
- International experience
- PLC programming for Siemens, Telemecanique, Allen-Bradley and Proface Robot programming skills would be an advantage Fanuc, Motoman, Kuka
- Good ability to work in English and willing to travel
