Head of Integrated Logistics Procurement and Supplier Management (m/f), Luxembourg

Your Responsibilities

• Ensure suitable staffing and succession planning for team roles and CoE resources
• Manage direct reports, including target setting and development
• Align target achievement with budget
• Support the rollout of strategic 4PL procurement services
• Engage with key customers on procurement topics, focusing on LSP and carrier contracting
• Support selection and upkeep of software tools for rate and tender management
• Align CoE resources to tender projects at the account level
• Collaborate with IL stakeholders for alignment with the digital roadmap
• Refine market intelligence services based on market trends and customer needs
• Position market intelligence services within Kuehne + Nagel's 4PL offerings
• Ensure access to relevant information for market insights
• Comply with pharma, healthcare, and internal regulations, including GDP and customer quality standards.

Your profile

• Professional logistics and supply chain education mandatory
• Academic degree in supply chain management or business-related field preferred
• >10 years of logistics market experience (preferably global scope covering all transport modes)
• Practical experience in sourcing and procurement of logistics services
• Proven track record in leading global teams
• In-depth knowledge of global logistics markets across all modes of transport
• Strong commercial and analytical acumen
• Experience in procurement workflows, sourcing tools, and tender analytics
• Leadership skills to lead diverse teams across multiple regions toward a common goal
• Strategic thinking to drive evolution and positioning of 4PL strategic sourcing service offering
• Customer engagement skills to support commercial development of Integrated Logistics
• Willingness to travel up to 40% (approx. two-thirds of travel within Europe, one-third international)
• Fluent in English (oral and written).
