Main activities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include to:

Managing the return of aircraft following lease termination or recovered for operational reasons.

The Job holder will be expected to assume the role of Aircraft and Records Inspector to ensure that both meet the regulatory requirements & the contractual lease conditions.

Any and all discrepancies are to be logged, reported back to main base, and followed up and, wherever possible, closed out with the Operator.

If the project requires additional personnel on-site, the FM will be responsible for managing the “on-site team” (typically comprising of aircraft & engine inspectors and aircraft & engine records inspectors). On completion of the on-site activity the FM must analyze all the results in relation to the regulatory requirements & the contractual lease conditions and ensure that any discrepancies are well managed and known by the relevant Airbus management. This task requires coordination with internal & external customers and service providers as applicable. On-site attendance will be required.

Continuing Airworthiness Management

To manage aircraft under the scope of responsibility of the Airbus CAMO, the FM will be nominated by the Head of engineering in conjunction with the CAMO Post Holder.

The FM will manage all technical aspects of the project and must ensure that all activities undertaken (in house or subcontracted) are compliant with the Part M regulations.

Providing technical advice on their portfolio of aircraft

Capitalizing on their experience and knowledge of the specific MSNs within their portfolio, the FM is required to provide technical advice to the in-house teams (e.g. project manager, commercial directors, finance, portfolio management, legal, and procurement and certification functions).

Working as the ‘right hand man’ to the project manager, throughout the projects, the FM is required to provide technical advice, for anticipating and resolving the technical issues that present a risk to the on-time, on-budget completion of the project

Aircraft and Engine records update.

The FM is responsible for maintaining up to date technical records for each of the MSNs within their portfolio. In the event that these tasks are subcontracted, the FM is responsible for ensuring that each Service Provider maintains these records.

Approving technical work scopes.

The FM is responsible for ensuring that technical work scopes are cost efficient and that the possibility for ‘out-of-scope’ work is kept to an absolute minimum. The FM provides aircraft and engine statuses and the contractual requirements synthesis, in order to optimize the definition of the work scope. Additionally, the FM is responsible for managing the Work Order content and creation.

Service Provider performance.

Within the framework of outsourced SLI activities, there are a number of outsourced technical Service Providers. As part of the project team, the FM is required to evaluate the performance of nominated Service Providers against the operational requirements specified in the Service Providers contract and approved Airbus Methods & Procedures under SLIEB responsibility.

Skill/competencies

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

Technical knowledge:

  • 5 + years in Part M, experience in airlines should be a plus,
  • 10 + years in Maintenance Aeronautics environment,
  • Fluent written and spoken English level,
  • Customer service oriented.

Professsional skills:

  • Professional communication skills, Experience in multi-cultural management
