COGS Financial Steering (m/f), Lyon

Key Tasks

• Provide to Discovery Global Supply Chain Management the appropriate information in a timely manner to steer the business, by ensuring the availability of COGS Variances Warehousing & Distribution costs information
• Master world-wide COGS consistency and transparency, using MS D365/Datalake, by analyzing monthly results for the Discovery COGS compared to budget, forecast and previous year.
• Warning the supply chain regions controllers and countries in case of issues or errors on Discovery COGS Variances and Warehousing& Distribution costs
• Coordination and follow up on issues solving and corrections if needed
• Propose and follow-up of action plans for Products and Supply costs improvements and Inventory management
• Responsible for COGS estimates calculation for innovation projects and new products.
• Ensure the calculation of Business Cases in order to support the Supply Chain and Marketing Business choices
• Organize/ contribute to the Discovery Budget and Forecast process for Cost of Goods traded and subcontracted, by supporting defining rules
• Train and support Discovery Business/Supply Chain Region teams to improve their financial skills and sensitivity regarding COGS and variances.

Qualifications

• Master degree in Finance, Engineer degree
• At least 10 years experience in industrial costing /controlling
• Fluent in English,
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, pro active, ability to work within a complex multicultural environment
• Has worked in international roles before
• Excellent analytical skills as well as ability to solve problems and to simplify complex tasks
• Affinity to Controlling systems, ERP’s, Datalake/ Datawarehouse
