The main missions
Drive compliance of all new FCM Programs to Lean Industrial Design (LID) principles while ensuring successful launches and efficiency in Series Production
He/she has to:
- Manage the cross divisional BG Program LID network
- Track and support programs in terms of: Process, Tooling, Equipment, CAPEX, Automation & Handling, FES compliance
- Coach Operations and Engineering (Chief Engineers, PMLs & IPLs) on:
- MIFD & Layout principles (plant & line)
- Equipment Design Workshop (EDW) and Cardboard Workshop (CBW)
- Assess the network using LID in Program competency matrix and train to the Leader level (level 3)
- Ensure global alignment in terms of input/ output for EDW & CBWs’ (standardization of work package) – Drive gap closure together with the LID network to ensure FES compliance at PT/MPT stage
- Ensure alignment of generic production line projects for the application in programs based on defined Strategy / Industrial vision
- Track the OTD (On Time Delivery) for EDW, CBW and i-CAR (initial CAR)
- Support distribution and deployment of the Equipment standards to promote their application in close cooperation with the specialists, incl. Digital Factory/Virtual Reality
Profile
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- 5 to 10 years of experience in Lean Management, Manufacturing Engineering, and Production
- Lean Management – FES
- Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Design
- Program Management – PMS
- Production knowledge, Exhaust processes as advantage (Bending, EF, Welding, Muffler, Canning)
- English fluent, German or French as a plus
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a matrix organisation with international mind-set
- Strong autonomy and drive for improvement
- Accountability and transparency
