The main missions
- Plan and implement new products and/or changes to the manufacturing process
- Provide manufacturing engineering support to assigned UAP
- Provide support to Quality Department and UAP Quality Engineer as required
- Review processes and procedures on an on-going basis for safety, quality and production efficiency
- Make analysis and problem solving by using QRCI/8D (Quick Response Continuous Improvement) Method for issue occurring during the launch and the series process
- Lead continuous improvement efforts of the company through value analysis and maintains knowledge about manufacturing/tooling to the state of the art
- Develop and implement manufacturing documentation and other operator instructions
- Support implementation of digitalization of the production and of its processes.
- Prepare data for TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), daily safety check
- Keep SAP and traceability Master data up to date in relation to the manufacturing process: Bill of Materials, Routings …
- Train production supervisors and support standard work implementation
The length of the VIE is 12 months (renewable once up to 24 months).
Profile
- Master’s degree in Engineering
- Previous experience in automotive production industries is appreciated
- Thorough knowledge of manufacturing engineering and assembly processes (Metal Welding is a plus)
- Knowledge and practice of the lean manufacturing principles
- Knowledge of quality management and project management
- Ability to work with a wide variety of people : from the shop floor to the senior management, through vendors, suppliers and customers
- Proficiency with Excel, Autocad/Megecad/Draftsight, Programming is a plus
- Fluent in English and German
