V.I.E. System engineer for oxygen systems, Hamburg

The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) programme is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function.

We are looking for highly motivated graduates who are citizens of the European Union (all E.U. nationals, plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein). For graduates who would be interested in a career with Airbus, this could be the start of a rewarding future in a dynamic and forward-thinking sector.

Tasks

For Airbus in Hamburg within the department Oxygen Systems we are looking for a VIE - System Engineer for Oxygen Systems (f/m).
You will be part of the Oxygen System Design Office team which is responsible for the definition, development and certification of the various oxygen systems in all Airbus Aircrafts. More specifically, your area of responsibility will be the development and certification of the Oxygen controler and the On-Board Oxygen Generating System of the A400M, which is the first application in an Airbus Aircrafts.

It will comprise:

  • the monitoring and review of the Supplier development activities located in France
  • the participation to Airbus integration test activities and solving of associated problem reports
  • the BITE (Built-In Test Equipment) definition
  • any activities linked to the control and indication definition of the A400M oxygen system

As for the other team members, a small part of the time may be allocated to not A400M specific activities, e.g. synergy between programs, Research & Technology, team performance improvement projects.

Skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills:

  • Degree as an Electromechanical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Aerospace Engineer or equivalent
  • English: Negotiation level

  • Profound Knowledge MS - Office
