V.I.E. (m/f) Process Engineering - Surface Engineering, Herzogenrath

Your tasks

• Support R&D project activities focused on technical preparation of the surfaces and cleaning
• processes for various coated and non-coated glass products (e.g. glasses in automobile, buildings etc.)
• Detection and analysis of the surface defects formed during glass processing
• Design and development of the detection techniques to identify surface defects formed during different steps of glass processing
• Design of experiments and supporting subsequent pilot and production trials
• Write technical reports to summarize the results of the pilot and industrial trials
• Supporting the team members with literature and patent review

Your profile

• A Master degree in Material Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Applied Physics or similar fields
• Initial practical experience in design of experiments and data analysis
• Good oral and written communication skills in English
• Enthusiasm to tackle technical problems and challenges
• High commitment and willingness to learn
• Team player and ability to work in a achievement-oriented environment
• Structured work style as well as the ability to adapt quickly in diverse R&D themes

• The V.I.E. carries out his/her assignment in a French company operating overseas. Interns
• can work in a variety of domains.
• The latest your assignment can start is on the day of your 29th birthday. No exceptions can be made.
• You must have French or European nationality (i.e. be a national of a Member State of the
• European Economic Area, which includes the 28 Member States of the European Union
• including Norway, Iceland, Lichtenstein and Monaco).
