Your tasks
- You will support the R&D activities of the team “Smart Manufacturing & Robotics”. Depending on your qualifications, experiences and interests we will select appropriate tasks or projects in one of the related areas.
- This could be anything from supporting a project leader in developing and refining automation concepts with the engineering department of a business unit, setting up a pilot system or running experiments to performing a market survey on a specific technology.
- Topics of interest in the area of automation range from classical or collaborative robotics via sensors and adaptive systems to autonomous vehicles and smart devices.
- In the area of Industry 4.0 we are looking for people with an interest in the technical topics such as the required infrastructures and mathematical model development to the challenging subject areas of worker skill development and human-system interfaces.
In collaboration with the team, it will be your task to:
- Manage studies and work-packages for R&D projects
- Take part in experimental design, realization of tests and follow-up planning
- Carrying out autonomously experiments in the internal laboratory or on an industrial line
- Deepening group’s know-how by studying literature and through exchanges with researchers
Your profile
- University degree, preferably with focus in engineering, informatics or physics (M.Sc., M.Eng.) or comparable study
- Good understanding of technical and physical interrelations
- Independent and well-structured way of work, distinctive analytic thinking
- Passionate and motivated team player
- Strength in communication
- Very good command of English both written and spoken
- Good command of French and / or German is a plus
