The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) programme is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to EADS to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function.

We are looking for highly motivated graduates who are citizens of the European Union (all E.U. nationals, plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein). For graduates who would be interested in a career with EADS, this could be the start of a rewarding future in a dynamic and forward-thinking sector.

Tasks

For Division EADS Deutschland GmbH located in Hamburg within the International Mobility Center we are looking for a VIE Assistant - International Mobility Center with main focus Policy and Governance.
The EADS International Mobility Center (IMC) was created to support the operational Expatriate Management Departments of all EADS Divisions and Headquarters. Its core responsibilities are Tax & Social Security, Policy & Governance and Vendor Management. One of the IMC targets is to develop harmonized principles and policies for international assignments and to ensure a consistent, EADS wide interpretation of those rules.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Playing an active part in the process of harmonization, e.g coordinate the adjustment of guidelines
  • Administrative support (creation and preparation of presentations, organization of meetings, keep track of all policy related documents)
  • Writing minutes of policy meetings and negotiations with works council
  • Be a contact person for employees and expatriate managers regarding policy related questions as well as for external service providers
  • Support and coordination of projects

Skills

As the successful candidate, you should be able to demonstrate the following characteristics:

  • Degree in Business Administration / Human Resources Management or similar qualification
  • Basics in law would be a plus
  • English: Negotiation level
  • German: Negotiation level
  • French would be a plus
  • Exemplary office and telephone manner including
  • conference calls and video conferences
  • Excellent practice of Microsoft Office Tools (especially PowerPoint & Excel with ability to create pivot tables)
  • Project / Process minded, analytical skills, quality oriented
  • A pragmatic and independent decision maker with the ability to make well judged decisions without full information
