Missions
- Take responsibility: You will drive our business unit in the course of product designs and introducing a user-centered design process.
- Use your creativity and freedom: Your tasks will comprise the conception, development and conduction of consulting services with the focus on product design and service development in the field of user-centered design
- Observe, and think ahead: You will support Design Thinking project teams in development of user-centric product / service concepts based on holistic user experience / design thinking methodologies.
- Structured observation & evaluation: Focus tasks include identification of unsolved user needs based on research, transfer of user needs into design concepts (incl. rapid prototyping), testing of concepts with users
- Integrated implementation: You will be the internal interface to marketing and engineering functions: Support in transferring user needs and insights into concepts (for marketing) and technical requirements (engineering). In this context you will also be coaching cross-functional teams with regards to user experience and design thinking methodologies (enabled through Design Thinking coaching trainings)
- Experience cooperation: Drive exchange / cooperation with different business areas outside Power Tools on the subjects of Design Thinking (Ambassador for Design Thinking)
Profile
- Personality: Strong ability to work in a team (empathy, responsibility and persuasiveness)
- Experience and Knowledge: Operative product design and project experience from Innovation or Design Thinking consultancy/ agency/ or equivalent corporate department with proven track record of accomplished UX/ Design projects
- Qualifications: Strong visualization skills (Adobe Creative Suite, CAD Skills, Rhino preferred)
- Enthusiasm: Curiosity for new challenges (“self-starter mentality”
- Languages: Strong communication and presentation skills, very good German and English language skills
- Education: University, FH or equivalent education with industrial, product or interaction design focus and preferably also business expertise
