Tasks & accountabilities
The Support Systems Germany (TASSI6) department develops and supports engineering support systems for flying weapon systems. These systems support military flight operations in the technical-logistic area as well as flight testing and are used both by external customers and by Airbus DS.
For new/further developments and support of the Airbus Engineering Support System (Airbus ESS) we are looking for a systems engineer with the following field of activity:
- Responsible concept/design of ESS solutions for future customers
- Collaboration during the entire development cycle of the Airbus ESS, in particular design, implementation, test and acceptance
- Definition of the system and software architecture
- Interface between domain experts and software developers
- Implementation of set requirements in integrative design and test specifications taking into account operational aspects / concept development
- Accompaniment of customer reviews and acceptances within the framework of the defined development milestones
- Support of the Airbus ESS
- Detailed analysis of support requests (3rd level support)
- Participation in and moderation of customer workshops
- Occasional on-site support

Required skills
- Completed studies (IT/computer science/engineer Univ/FH/BA) or comparable education/knowledge
- Relevant experience in system and software engineering
- Operational experience in modern (military) aircraft flight operations
- Sound theoretical and practical knowledge of Health and Usage Monitoring Systems (On-/Off-Board)
- Experience in the design of man-machine interfaces desirable
- Confident appearance and ability to work in a team
- Fluent in German and English
- Commitment to continuous improvement of operations
- Ability to work under time pressure
- Knowledge of project management desirable
