Senior Designer Composite (m/f), Donauwörth

Tasks

Your responsibilities will include:

• Construction of fibre-composite, lightweight structures for aerodynamic panelling
• Definition of design principles and fibre-composite construction, materials and processes, taking account of manufacturing and cost aspects in the context of the customer specifications and regulatory requirements
• Construction in CATIA V5 in coordination with the statics and manufacturing, and integration with the structure
• Coordination and compliance of the interfaces with the aircraft fuselage and contiguous systems
• Conducting design reviews
• Detailed design and drawing-up of drawings in accordance with the aircraft manufacturer's regulations
• Optimisation of existing constructions, e.g. for weight- and cost reduction
• Conducting of gap analyses in the re-engineering process
• Development of problem-solving concepts in coordination with the technical departments concerned, and production-ready implementation of the solution in 3D and 2D, including approval of the drawings
• Technical focal point and monitoring of external work packages
• Drawing up technical offers and specifications

Profile

We are looking for candidates with the following skills:

• Degree in engineering, structural mechanics, aviation and aerospace or equivalent
• Good knowledge of CATIA V5 with Composite Part Design
• German: advanced knowledge
• French and English: advanced knowledge
