RSM New Business “Hunter” – DACH Region

Key Activity

  • Generating new business for C&K in DACH region (with an initial focus on Southern Germany) with an annual value of not less than $5M

Responsibilities

  • Develop from scratch a C&K customer base in the DACH region (focus on Southern Germany) by identifying potential customers, qualifying their activities and the $ opportunity for C&K (TAM: Total Available Market), and ultimately winning new business. This business may be transacted on a direct basis, through third party subcontractors or through our partner distributors.
  • Design in C&K products so we achieve prime print position.
  • Negotiate with new customers to maximize C&K revenue.
  • Drive demand for C&K products through prospection and demonstration of new products.
  • Keep abreast of new design companies, tech startups, university spin off and other “high tech” development companies, and were relevant present C&K and our products to them, for consideration for new projects.
  • Following up on marketing qualified leads in the region.

Typical Duties

  • 4 days a week “on the road” visiting new customers to create demand and design in C&K products.
  • 50% of time to prospect new potential customers.
  • 40% of time working on design in activities and negotiating.
  • 10% of time on administration reporting customer knowledge and pipeline in SFDC.
  • After a new Opportunity conversion to win, passing the day to day management of this customer to a third party so they can move onto another new prospect.

The Individual

Education / Business Experience

  • minimum 5 years’ experience in component sales or in a business development role.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Engineering, or significant (5+ years) work experience selling in a technical environment.
  • Ideally experience within the electromechanical components and / or passive components / connectors sector.
  • Can demonstrate a high level of success in customer acquisition.

  • Location: Southern Germany (based in Munich area ideally) with good access to major highways
