Quality Assurance Engineer (m/f), Heilbronn

Tasks

Performance of Product Assurance and Quality Assurance related operational tasks for satellite propulsion projects including:

  • Design assurance management in development and qualification
  • Preparation and conducting of production milestone reviews with the customer
  • Preparation and conducting of quality gates
  • Quality surveillance and evaluation of suppliers within activities of the supplier relationship management team
  • Planning of incoming inspection steps
  • Review and release of shop travellers for internal production
  • Treatment of nonconformances for internal and external (involving the customer) non-quality issues incl. failure tree analysis and other methods for root cause analysis
  • Review of documentation from suppliers
  • Preparation of documentation (data packages) for delivery of products to the customer
  • Conducting the delivery review board (DRB) with the customer and internal representatives
  • Conducting failure analyses including related documentation and presentations
  • If needed to establish documentation such as quality management plans, inspection plans

Profile

Degree in general or aerospace engineering or similar

Experience in:

  • various stages of the product life cycle, especially manufacturing process development and product development 
  • project management processes
  • systems engineering processes
  • statistical process control (SPC)
  • supply chain management (at least for quality assurance tasks)
  • various stages of the product life cycle, especially manufacturing process development and product development 
  • Knowledge and experience in processes development, application and improvement, in manufacturing processes/technologies and in failure analysis methodologies
  • "Six Sigma" knowledge and experience
  • Knowledge in configuration management, in materials and of standards: EN9100, ECSS
  • Ability to quickly understand and analyse technical products/technical systems and their function
  • To be able to communicate efficiently with stakeholders from different areas of activity as well as with suppliers and customers
  • Knowledge of SAP R/3, especially QM-Module
  • German and English: negotiation level, basic French appreciated
