Missions
As a member of the Program Core Team, he/she is responsible for all the design and engineering aspects of the Program. (S)he has to:
Lead the Development Process (study, develop in detail, validate, release) for the product and tools (to be specified) in accordance with Program objectives (Quality, Costs, Delivery, Product performance) including:
- customer specifications
- internal specifications
- legal requirements
- Faurecia standards and best practices in accordance with the Group standards.
- Engineering budget.
Establish the engineering related objectives of the program with the Program Manager, the engineering group leader and central R&D.
Achieve all the Engineering objectives such as Product Performance including Perceived Quality in line with Program planning.
Ensure that the Engineering Functional Milestones are passed successfully and on time.
Manage the Program Design and Engineering team and its tasks fulfillment :
- Product Design Engineers
- CAE Engineers
- Process / Tool Engineers
- Including support functions (Poles Of Competence, Geometry center and testing, Industrial Design,…).
Contribute with the program manager the program master plan definition.
Ensure the Product FMEA achievement.
Lead the tools pre acceptance and graining process.
Is responsible for engineering change management process.
Release the product and tool definition.
Report on a monthly base the progress of his activity (3PR level 2).
Reports technical risk analysis with the associated action plans and opportunities.
Act as the interface between the Program Core team, the Division engineering organization and the Central R&D.
Lead the technical interface with the customer engineering team.
Supports the Production Part Approval Process and then the Production Ramp-up.
Apply program Management System and Engineering Change Management and Faurecia tools and standards.
Profile
- Bachelor or master degree in engineering
- at least 5 years experience in Design&Development within an industrial environment, ideally in the automotive industry
- Knowledge and experience in Project Management process
- Knowledge of the complete product development process
- Team player with strong communication skills
- International mind set
- Minimum bi-lingual (English and German required)
