Your role
As a Product Development Sourcing Manager (f/m), you will take charge of global spend for your category or subcategories of projects, acting as a Global lead on key initiatives. You will develop and implement sourcing strategies that drive substantial value within the Sector Sourcing Life Science. Collaborating closely with the Sourcing Category team and Global/Regional Sourcing teams, you will execute strategies that enhance financial performance, supply security, and sustainability. Your expertise will position you as a global market leader within the sourcing organization, leading critical cross-category and cross-functional projects. You will manage high-complexity sourcing projects while fostering effective communication and cooperation across the Sourcing network. Building strong relationships with Global and Regional stakeholders will be essential as you engage in consultative discussions to identify value-added opportunities. Your role may also involve acting as a Business Partner for various levels of the organization, including senior management. In this dynamic position, you will drive efficiency and innovation while ensuring the availability of key materials and services. Profile
- Master's degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience in direct material purchasing, ideally acquired in a matrixed and international environment within the Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences or - Medical Device industry. You possess essential engineering/science knowledge relevant to the challenges of the position.
- Required experience in supplier management, negotiations, strategic sourcing, and category management. Experience in project mode within an R&D organization is highly desired.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes in the respective category, along with an understanding of cGMP manufacturing practices, is a valuable asset
- Ability to integrate into a team and influence various stakeholders, dynamic with an understanding of the business and strong market insights.
- Flexible, capable of managing the ambiguity of a matrix-structured organization and experienced performing in a fast-paced, goal oriented and time-sensitive environment.
- Fluency in English is required to effectively communicate in this global role, in stakeholder management and strategic negotiations.
