Missions
The main missions of the role are to manage and guide a NVH team within the Acoustic Performance department with the key tasks to develop new methods & tools for NVH simulation/testing and to support innovation and generic product development:
- Additional to its role as manager to become a key driver in the global NVH community in order to promote the products, methods & tools developed
- Planning and controlling of budget and resources for the internal and external projects
- Participation and technical (know-how and guiding) support in innovation as well as serial development projects
- Leadership, coordination and execution of research (methodology) projects in order to increase the NVH know-how as well as the initiation of new and optimization of existing development tools.
- Creation of process and work instructions based on those developed methodologies
- Creation of NVH training material based on those developed methodologies
- Participation in internal and external (customer) communications and presentations
Profile
Education:
- Degree (Diploma, Bachelor, Master, PhD) in a technical field, ideally mechanical or automotive engineering
Professional Experience:
- At least 5 to 7 years experience in the field of NVH development within the automotive industry, ideally exhaust industry
- Good Knowledge in acoustics, signal analysis and structural dynamics
- Strong management and organizational skills
- Ideal candidate would bring experience in NVH simulation as well as in NVH testing
Competences and particular knowledge:
- Highly self-motivated with good communication skills
- Excellent English language skills mandatory
- French and/or German language skills preferred
- Position requires regular travel
