Tasks

  • Preventing and/or defending threatened or impending legal action against the company in external investigations and product integrity investigation and litigation
  • Coordinating the defence of Airbus in product liability claims with the primary-responsibility for case arising in Arabic-speaking nations
  • Coordinating in-house case management, including interface with compliance, client departments, insurers and supervise external counsel
  • Advising executive management and training general management on legal implications of their work, decisions and documentation relating to pending and possible litigation threats
  • Managing complex legal cases involving multiple internal departments and third parties such as insurers and industrial partners as well as their respective counsel in a high risk environment
  • Following other regulatory developments, analysing their effects on company business policies and advising management of implications.
  • This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

  • Advanced Law degree (French Law), substantial legal international experience on common law and comparative law
  • At least 3 years’ experience in litigation as corporate counsel in the aerospace industry or other high-risk business or as law firm attorney
  • At least 2 years’ experience in International law
  • Ability to simultaneously manage several complex legal and internal procedures
  • Cooperative and coordination skills
  • Team work
  • Project management skills
  • A fluent level of French and English are required for this position. Working knowledge of Arabic would be a great asset, German or Spanish would be a plus.
