Missions

To monitor the internal production standards and leading the kaizen activities of the internal flows of his / her Site

Lean Competencies:

  • To develop the Lean competencies of the Site through trainings & coaching Lean Strategies
  • To help to define the Lean strategy of the APU Site in accordance with Site priorities and ensure deployment of AES (Asteelflash Excellence System) Lean within the APU site

Lean Genba Activities:

  • To help APU Manager to manage continuous improvement and to continuously detect abnormalities vs Lean standards and react
  • To support workshop pilots, lead workshops and implement improvement proposals Lean Results
  • To help the APU to constantly improve its QCDM (Quality Cost Delivery Motivation) results through rigorous application of the Lean tools
  • To deploy Lean standards & best practices within the APU

Responsibilities

Lean Competencies:

  • Develops his/her own competencies and skills in tools and methodologies useful for the APU
  • Trains APU members to Lean tools, standards & methodologies & ensures that Lean standards are known and applied properly

Lean Strategies:

  • Ensures that Lean rules are taken into account in new projects at appropriate phase
  • Helps the APU Manager to keep a continuous improvement mindset, behavior & policy whatever the operational situation
  • Organizes annual VSM (Value Stream Mapping) going through the APU and proposes the yearly workshops list.
  • Leads Lean Site committee actions
  • Helps to define the Lean strategy of the APU and prepares the APU budget concerning Lean targets
  • Manages the deployment of AES Lean within the APU: manage APU self-assessment with APU members and improves action plan
  • Deploys Lean standards & best practices within the APU

Lean Genba Activities:

  • Coaches APU members on application of Lean tools and methodologies through OJT
  • Permanently helps APU Manager to detect and reacts to non-conformances regarding to Lean standards
  • Manages the maintenance of Lean tools through appropriate audits (like Muda, Kanban, SMED..... audits): audit organization, performance & follow up
  • Prepares & organizes the weekly Site Lean committee (incl. agenda proposal) lead by the BU Manager, and writes the minutes
  • Checks regularly in-depth the proper deployment of Lean axis in the APU
  • Supports APU Lean workshop pilots on methodology and results achievement
  • Leads permanent workshops and implements improvement proposals
  • Permanently promotes the Lean principles

Profile

  • Engineer or Equivalent in Industrial & Manufacturing Practices
  • Experiences in Production or Logistic or Process engineering position
  • Lean Production Systems tools
