The missions

  • Team Management: direct a diverse team of local IT specialists; set up objectives and follow-up on the results, manage the professional and career development of the individual team members, assure individual assessments.
  • Customer relationship management: communicate/consult with management at all levels (Plant incl. JIT Sites, Europe Division, Business Group) concerning all pending and upcoming IT projects with possible impact for the site/organization.
  • Responsibility for the IT budgets of the site’s specific organizational units (BAUs) incl. support contracts, approving all IT related purchases incl. creation of required investment requests per BAU.
  • Management of site’s specific request for changes/additions to the infrastructure, production or any digital systems in compliance with the global group standards; where necessary involve the pertinent central Competence Centers.
  • Ensure system availability in line with local requirements to assure business continuity.
  • Adherence and insurance to global group standards for hardware, software, applications, licenses, IT security, monitoring and support chain.
  • Management of external service providers and contractors.
  • Active participation in the evolution of standardization by fostering open communication at all levels concerning problems and pertinent solutions.

Profile

  • Masters/bachelor’s degree in computer science or comparable qualification
  • 5 years of experience in managing a team of a minimum 5 individuals
  • Proven record of budget responsibility > 1 Mio. €
  • Strong leadership and excellent communication skills (oral and written skills in German and English a must, French a plus)
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into IT solutions
  • Broad knowledge of actual IT technologies and industry trends
  • Experience in a production environment
  • Knowledge of SAP
