Role and responsibilities

Your responsibilities will cover the day-to-day duties of the Investment Business Manager, including:

• Representing the Investment Platform on strategic, operational & regulatory driven projects
• Supporting the Head of Investment Business Management, the Asset Class Business Managers and the respective CIOs on any initiatives impacting the Investment Platform and connected to the enabling functions
• Understanding the front to back-office processes and applications within Investment Manager such as Portfolio Management, Securities Trading, Risk & Performance, Fund Accounting and Settlements
• Taking the lead for the Investment Platform on New Product and Instrument (NPI), & complexity assessments for New Business Activities (NBA)
• Representing the Investment Platform on Governance Committees or working Group from the enabling functions
• Internal audit stakeholder management and coordination

Qualifications and skills

• A keen interest in financial markets and the asset management industry, particularly in the management of an asset management organization
• Understanding of different asset classes, as well as good knowledge of AllianzGI and the current / future operating models
• 7+ years of professional experience in an analytical or Front Office position dealing with experience of strategic topics, ideally within asset management industry
• Strong project management acumen, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to deal with all levels of management and staff effectively and strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to challenge
• Team player with inter-personal skills and ability to develop a network in a short amount of time
• Ability to multi-task and quickly understand complex topics
• bSelf-directed, independent, entrepreneurial, adaptable with international experience and cultural awareness, and has the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and deliver strong results
• Excellent conceptual, analytical and visualization skills
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
