Mission

  • Nickel is a relatively expensive alloying element of stainless-steel. An open point is the influence of lowering the Nickel content but keeping the material properties. In this work this influence shall be studied.
  • Basic qualification of different stainless steels (hardness, corrosion, mechanical properties, …)
  • Planning and execution of different tests as well as data analysis
  • Comparison of different materials for future applications
  • Presentation of the results in front of an international audience

Profile

  • Study of material science or physics
  • Background in material testing especially testing of metals
  • Practical laboratory experience
  • Ability to work independently and high motivation
  • Language: English or German
