Tasks
Your role will focus on supporting pre-sales activities by leveraging your technical and process expertise to prepare detailed, accurate, and competitive technical quotations in response to customer inquiries and RFPs, which requires a strong technical background, a keen eye for detail, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will analyze opportunity scope and requirements to determine accurate pricing and technical feasibility of proposed solutions, including evaluating the feasibility of customizations and new concepts or technologies on Multi-Uses (MU) and Single-Uses (SU) systems, and you will develop detailed technical quotations based on customer specifications, project requirements, and industry standards. This involves calculating costs for materials, labor, and overhead to provide competitive and accurate pricing models, and quoting complex opportunities that involve multiple equipment with a high level of customization. You will work closely with engineering, sales, and project management teams to gather necessary information and ensure alignment on technical aspects and pricing. Furthermore, you will engage with customers to clarify technical requirements, provide support during the quotation process, and attend customer meetings to define and challenge opportunities. Your role also requires maintaining organized records of quotations, including technical specifications, pricing justifications, and a complete costing package such as P&ID designs, system specifications, cost sheets, planning, and lists of deviations for future reference and audits. Finally, you will collaborate with stakeholders (Marketing, Field Service, R&D, sponsors) to develop and sustain a strategic plan that aligns with organizational goals, and act as a Lean advocate by identifying quick wins, proposing and executing Continuous Improvement (CI) projects, and contributing to the development of standard operating procedures.
