Your tasks and responsibilities

  • The Global Brand Communications Manager will develop and implement Bayer CropScience Environmental Science Business Unit communications strategies and plans for the Professional Pest Management (PPM) segment.
  • He/she will be a support for the Turf & Ornamental (TO) segment driving toward our goal of being a best-in-class customer-oriented marketing organization.
  • The job holder will guide and partner with internal managers and outside agencies to develop and implement innovative communications as well as relevant digital tools.
  • He/she ensures that the company’s highly diverse, globally represented assigned market segments, employees and customers receive the appropriate and intended message about Bayer Environmental Science, its mission Science For a Better Life, its solutions and services and its sub-brands in accordance with Global branding policy, at the level of its number 1 position in our industry.

The Global Brand Manager will have to:

  • Develop and execute brand/market value proposition and communications strategies, roadmaps for the respective segment that enhance brand awareness, relevancy and loyalty by delivering solutions-based content and services using all relevant mediums
  • Guide and partner with global market managers, regional and country marketing communications managers , commercial operations and external agencies to ensure all brand communications tactics and messages are consistent with enterprise, brand and market objectives and strategies
  • Manage all aspects of relevant brand communications to deliver on-time and on-budget Brand communication materials.
  • Ensure agency resources are delivering best in class communications in a cost and time efficient manner.
  • Support the Head of Marketing Excellence in ensuring that global branding professional projects and budgets are implemented according to business priorities and needs (taking into consideration the very complex brand heritage for the relevant professional Market Segments).
  • Manage BES Trademark portfolio in for Professional Pest management and Turf & Ornamental segments ensuring best protection, renewal process & cost effective management of Trademarks.
  • Steer company new global naming process for key launches on the respective segments in collaboration with Global Marketing Manager and Country Marketing Manager, ensuring best protection and timely spread.
  • Responsible for implementing the Guidelines of Brand Architecture Strategy ensuring alignment & consistency throughout the company for the respective segments.
  • Evaluate continually the relevance of communications tools, and notable advancements in relevant technologies, especially in the Digital area. Adopt them within ES to disseminate information and provide training for internal and agency audiences.
  • Contribute to Bayer Identity Net strategy implementation for the respective segments
  • Ensure compliance with corporate standards and guidelines by collaborating with communications, global branding, legal and regulatory

Who you are

  • You have graduated with a master degree in communication, branding or marketing.
  • You have at least 5 years’ experience in Brand communication and/or brand management.
  • You have a deep understanding and state of the art brand communications processes & tools.
  • You also have an experience in dealing with Communications, Branding agency management.
  • You are able to build strong partnerships and to manage complex and multi-national networks allowing to meeting shared objectives.
  • You have the ability to synthetize and to communicate complex, technical subjects in a clearly structured and effective manner.
  • However you always keep in mind the customers and provide solutions that fit their needs.
  • You have a proven successful experience in project management and are able to create and implement new and successful ideas/brand strategies.
