Your new role

• In your new challenging role, you work with statistics and cutting-edge machine learning algorithms in a big data environment.
• Furthermore, you are responsible for end-to-end data science projects in the area of Rail Electrification.
• In addition, you design experiments, test statistical hypotheses and build models.
• You integrate and prepare various large datasets.
• You produce test results and visualize them in a professional and actionable manner.
• You collaborate closely with the customers and the team to realize their solutions.

Your qualifications

• You hold a university degree (Master / Diploma) in IT, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics or related discipline; a PhD is a plus.
• You have long-term professional experience in technologies, methods and algorithms in data analytics, especially data mining and machine learning.
• You have proven deep technical expertise in designing and programming data driven solutions using high level programming languages, especially Python.
• In addition, you have hands-on experience in handling large data sets and in using various SQL and NoSQL data bases.
• Experience with cloud computing (e.g. AWS, Azure), distributed computing (e.g. Spark, blaze, ...) or analytical tools (e.g. Tableau) is an advantage.
• You are fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.
