Tasks & accountabilities
- Creating and building cost information and providing cost driver expertise on specific technology/products in the field of Aircraft Cabin Conversion as input to support decision making
- Being in charge to build the cost models, compute all the cost evaluations and maintain up to date references
- Being a specialist of the cost engineering methodology and being able to take benefit of all the knowledge interfacing with specific field of expertize stakeholders
- Collecting relevant information for specific cost engineering deliverable (e.g. estimation, cost drivers etc.) in cooperation with the internal field of expertize; Organizing and accomplishing interviews and/or workshops if required to clarify the requirements and hypothesis
- Preparing, challenging and synthetizing required assumptions for the production of cost engineering deliverable
- Deciding on Cost engineering methodology/tools and cost references to use
- Performing and providing cost engineering deliverables
- Assessing associated risks
- Identifying cost drivers and recommending for cost optimization in regard of assumptions, references, models and experience supporting value analysis exercises
- Supporting stakeholders buy-in
- Maintaining expertise level and develop/capitalize knowledge about your field of expertize via cost analysis, referential improvement, benchmark studies, training, audits, and Go Look See Analyse the variance between the cost engineering view and other sources of estimation and support reconciliation
- Negotiating Support harmonisation and rationalisation of cost engineering referential and models in your field of expertize

Required skills
- University degree level in Aeronautical Engineering, Business Engineering or equivalent
- Working experiences within Engineering combined with financial understanding is required
- Experienced in working with transnational interfaces within different functions and to ensure transnational alignment is a key requirement
- Solid project management experience is a requirement
- Knowledge of Airbus process and governance is a prerequisite
- Deep knowledge of Aircraft Cabin features and development/manufacturing processes required
- First experiences in translating technical topics into financial data is needed
- Strong negotiation, communication, influencing and presentation skills as well assertiveness
- MS Office knowledge is mandatory, SAP knowledge is recommended
- Negotiation level of English and advanced level of German is required
- This role will involve frequent travel for business approx. once to for times per month (depending on project status) within Europe and mainly to Toulouse, and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
