Mission

Within EADS General Procurement (EGP), you are performing strategic procurement activities within the Flight Physics, Powerplant, Avionics organization, with a trans-national and trans-divisional approach taking into account the European EADS perimeter.

In particular, you are accountable for:

  • Implementing the procurement strategy defined by the Commodity Procurement Board (CPB) and the Multi-Functional-Team (MFT) within the scope of activity supporting EADS divisions' needs.
  • Manage procurement projects and call for tenders with multi-divisional and trans-national scope within the scope of the Flight Physics, Powerplant, and Avionics subcontracting engineering (PJOP)
  • Develop and maintain an efficient supply chain capable to deliver goods/work-packages (services), matching EADS requirements and business objectives.
  • Ensure that deliverables are in line with the contractual terms (cost, time, quality).
  • Secure long-term alignment of the preferred supplier base with the long-term trans-national and trans-divisional strategic needs of EADS.
  • Ensure continuous commercial relationship with suppliers in order to secure work with best-in-class suppliers and protect EADS from contractual risks. 
  • Conduct the procurement process in order to fulfill business needs and provide the internal customers with valued services in compliance with the EADS General Procurement procedures and guidelines, to full customers' satisfaction.
  • Deliver on initiatives contributing to EADS Savings Programmes using the levers of requirements harmonization/standardization, challenge of the specifications, volume aggregation, and control of the demand
  • Provide the MFT and CPB with strategically relevant input to support the strategy development.

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Drive compliant EADS General Procurement processes
  • Lead cross-functional project teams within the framework of national and trans-national procurement projects, contribute to the control of the demand, challenge and approve the specifications and run the suppliers selection processes.
  • Negotiate, establish and implement national & trans-national frame contracts.
  • Follow-up contracts with contract reviews with EADS' internal customer base and suppliers, based on consistent and factual KPIs, evaluate and improve suppliers' performance in terms of time, costs and quality. 
  • Assess suppliers' overall performance and the impact of weak performance on EADS; and initiate recovery actions when necessary.
  • Provide rules and process information to Business Operations to ensure correct execution of transactional procurement activities to full customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in the definition of trans-national, trans-divisional procurement strategies by providing benchmark, costing and "make or buy" analysis.
  • Contribute to the implementation of new procurement techniques such as e-procurement and e-catalogues, as needed.
  • Monitor savings linked to demand management and procurement performance; contribute to secure and achieve EADS Savings Programmes' commitments.
  • Develop procurement strategies for harmonised material groups (HMG), or parts of such, where no dedicated category strategy exists; ensure validation of such strategy by the respective internal customer base.

Profile

Business school or engineering graduate with good business or procurement knowledge, you have at least 3 years of experience within procurement

You have a negotiation level in English. An advanced level in German, French & Spanish would be an asset for the position, but not mandatory.
