"Technical Perfection and automotive passion" is what defines Faurecia. We design, engineer and provide the best in technology, systems and services for automobile makers in every major market on all five continents. If you share our ambition for technical perfection and our passion for all things automotive, Faurecia has a career for you.

"Faurecia, a driving force…for your professional growth."

The main missions

  • Self dependent product development for Noise Vibration Harshness (NVH) problem settings on exhaust systems (acoustics, dynamics, vibration), with emphasis to internal, customer and legal requirements. For this, testing as well as simulation activities have to be planned, conducted/coordinated and evaluated systematically
  • Participation and technical (know-how and guiding) support in innovation as well as serial development projects
  • Leading, coordination and execution of research (methodology) projects in order to increase the NVH know-how within FECT as well as the optimization of new and existing development tools
  • Creation of process and work instructions based on those developed methodologies
  • Creation of NVH training material based on those developed methodologies
  • Participation in internal and external (customer) communications and presentations
  • Investigation of the structural behaviour (dynamic) of exhaust component with the means of simulation (FEM, BEM) and various measurements techniques
  • Developing standards of current measurement methods and procedures (e.g. acoustic, backpressure) for component evaluation in order to globally align those
  • Developing new measurement methods (acoustic, flow dynamics) for component evaluation depending on internal and customer needs
  • Creation of presentation materials

Profile

  • Degree (Diploma, Bachelor, Master, PhD) in a technical field, ideally mechanical or automotive engineering Degree (Diploma, Bachelor, Master, PhD) in a technical field, ideally mechanical or automotive engineering
  • At least 3-5 years experience in the field of Noise Vibration Harshness development within the automotive industry
  • Good Knowledge in acoustics, signal analysis and structural dynamics
  • Project management skills
  • Ideal candidate would bring experience in 1D simulation software such as GTP/ WAVE or in 3D simulation software (FEM/BEM)
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluent in German and English
