The main missions

• To define opportunities for cost reduction, to validate these possibilities together with the commodity team to implement these measures. All actions shall be recorded in the PAP system (productivity Action Plan). The plant Serial Buyer must also report all used indices of shopping and take into account the impact on the profit and loss account.
• To work closely with the Supply Chain team (logistic) to support it with deviations (MPM misdeliveries per millions)
• To propose relocation of production to low wage countries to the commodity buyer/manger (best landed cost approach)
• To participate to the selection of suppliers and to the kick off process (different program phase) in order to prepare the production start-up
• To update the list of providers in accordance with the strategy components. to contribute to submit proposalls and measures for downsizing
• To review all relevant suppliers and parts information and ensure the proper order processing, invoice processing and cost control
• To inform the commodity team for large volume changes. to validate the manufacturing plant (specific QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) information for the Group.
• To focus on local problem-solving but forwarding to the division or the commodity buyer team, if necessary.
• To support the set-up of our new production facility in Eastern Europe.
• The mission will begin as soon as possible for 12 months.

Profile

• Master's degree in engineering with a specialisation in international purchasing
• Industrial experience
• Written and oral Communication skills
• Ability to work in a matrixed organization
• Leadership and charisma
• International mind set, overseas experience is a plus
• English and German are required
