Missions

• Ensure planning, execution, follow up and if necessary implement corrective actions regarding all program relevant purchasing tasks within the dedicated program.
• be the main account for the program team regarding purchasing topics and figures.

contribute to the conception of the client offer:

• participate in the program team from the offer conception phase / Pre-Requisition for Quotation Approval and involve expert suppliers in the Pre-RFQA phase

Support the supplier selection from the agreed supplier panel:

• Identify, in accordance with the commodity buyer, and consult suppliers.
• Consolidate the supplier quotations and prepare further negotiations.

• Negotiate directly or participate with the commodity buyer in supplier negotiations and the final supplier choice.

• manage suppliers, compare costs with objectives and implement corrective actions if necessary, ensure quality during the program phase, respect delivery deadlines and in particular ensure that the program reviews are supported within the frame of the Program Management System (PMS).

• ensure early involvement of the plant buyers in the program before the serial phase

• manage specific mandated suppliers when requested and agreed with customers

• support VA/VE activities

• respect the relevant reporting routine in terms of Cost, Quality and Delivery within the dedicated program(s) as well as the preparation of purchasing tasks in case of regional PRC’s, PRC’s etc.

Profile

• Masters degree in engineering with a specialisation in international purchasing
• Minimum bi-lingual (German and English)
• International mind set, overseas experience a plus
• Results oriented with strong written and oral communications skills
• Ability to work in a matrixed organisation
