The main missions

  • Self-dependant development of new and improved processes, materials, Designs and products for the use in automotive interior.
  • Project management of innovation projects within the FIS Innovation guideline.
  • Studies to assess the technical feasibility of innovative concepts and ideas. Evaluation of the results.
  • Define technical project targets together with the Innovation Project Leader (IPL)
  • Build Innovation Validation plans based on conception study results and risk analysis. Elaborate Validation data and evaluate results according to the Innovation process.
  • Documentation of results in form of reports, presentations, drawings, samples for presentation, Bills of material. Presentation of results in Innovation comities.
  • Assure patent protection on innovative solutions in close cooperation with the industrial property department.
  • Cooperation with Concept engineering and Poles of Competences department to communicate and assure good transfer of innovation projects into serial development.
  • Cooperation with external development partners and suppliers.
  • Guidance of suppliers in innovation projects.
  • Cooperation with the innovation departments in Méru (France), Auburn Hills (USA) and Valencia (Spain)

The length of the VIE is 12 months.

Profile

  • Master Degree in Engineering, ideally in tool building, plastics or automotive engineering experience in design, development and/or pre-development within an industrial environment, especially in the automotive industry.
  • Team Player with extended communication skills
  • International mindset.
  • At least bi-lingual (English is compulsory, German is a real plus).
