Your assignments

Functional Goal:

• Assume an Expert role in cell line development activities; from vector construction to selection of a panel of candidate clonal cell lines
• Act as reference in key steps during Cell line development, in terms of Process champion and Equipment superuser
• Represent Cell Line Development at cross functional meetings

Main Tasks:

• Identify high producer clones with the desired quality to reach high level of biosimilarity, using state of the art equipment (e.g ClonePix, cell printer, cell imager)
• Interact with members of dedicated Biosimilars organization including Upstream Process Development, Analytics and Downstream Process Development
• Propose equipment upgrades and process improvement steps (scouting, evaluation and recommendation)
• Act as electronic notebook administrator,
• Use of electronic notebook for data recording
• Author, review, edit, and approve internal protocols
• Supervise, mentor and provide technical guidance to associate scientists and technicians

Other Tasks:

• Participate to lab organization, ordering and stock management
• Participate in activities to ensure optimal operations including maintenance, knowledge sharing seminars, training (for self and delivered to colleagues)

Your profile

Education:

• Master in Science or BSc with experience in biotechnology or similar field

:Languages

• Fluency in English, French would be an asset

Work experience:

Experience: minimum 5 years in either academic/pharmaceutical/biotech company;
Previous experience working with biosimilars would be an advantage

Job Specific Competencies & Skills:

• Experience with ClonePix, cell printer and imager is essential
• Strong technical and scientific expertise across the cell line development spectrum including vector design and construction, transfection, cloning, stability studies
• Troubleshooting competencies (identify, analyse, propose solution)
• Experience in evaluation and implementation of new technologies is an asset
• Innovative
• Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
• Flexibility to switch between projects if necessary
