Software Project Manager (m/f), Bietigheim-Bissingen

The mission of the thermal systems business group is to develop and manufacture systems, modules and components to ensure thermal energy management of the power train and comfort for each passenger, during all phases of vehicle use. These systems help to significantly reduce fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and other pollutants and harmful particles from vehicles equipped with internal combustion engines. They also increase travel range and battery life for hybrid and electric vehicles. At the Front Office in Bietigheim-Bissingen we are supporting Sale- and Project activities and compose the interface between the customers Daimler and Valeo-internal departments at the development from Thermal Systems.

Tasks

• Lead international development team in design and development of highly complex software systems or introducing major enhancements to existing software Plan, execute, and finalize software projects to reach goals in terms of timing, scope and quality
• Ensure process-oriented software development,integration and testing in the project according to Automotive Spice and apply different project management
• methodologies Lead the team in appropriate decision
• making through strong judgment and the ability to analyze options and implications
• Facilitate team and cross-functional level
• communications and act as liaison between the team and the customer, suppliers and other departments

Profile

• engineering, informatics or similar
• Many years of experience in SW development
• preferably in automotive/embedded area
• Experience in managing development projects or teams
• Knowledge of project management methods
• Deep understanding SW engineering methods and software development
• Knowledge of the Automotive SPICE or CMMI
