Your main missions
- Sensory panel leader for Dermatology, Nutrition, and Digestive Health
- Lead the sensory facility to ensure critical insights on sensory performance are fed into the development cycle
- Biophysical scientist : lead and evaluate the biophysical performance of products and prototypes
- Innovation scientist : support development of new methodologies and protocols for sensory and biophysical measures
- Lead the statistical analysis and write reports for the sensorial study and biophysical tests
Your key tasks & responsibilities :
Reporting directly to the Consumer Centre Head, the Sensory and Biophysical Scientist will be accountable for the sensory & biophysical development of NDH and Dermatology products at Gaillard.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
A) Sensorial Panel Leader:
- Lead product sourcing (internal/external) and sensorial standard sets in collaboration with key partners as well as storage
- Lead the daily operation of the internal sensorial panel and guiding study design
- Manage the performance and validation tests in an efficient and responsive manner across all categories, including panel management
- Lead the sensory software and produce the statistical analysis properly and reports
- Management of tested products, preparations (purchase, labelling, storage and disposal, including compliance document, follow-up) following BPF or other referential
- Work proactively within the Head of Consumer Center to support development of new methodologies and protocols or sensory proactive programs according to business needs
- Organizing and conducting meetings with suppliers: be active in the competitive intelligence for aromas, cosmetics and sensory innovation
- Conducting research (bibliographic, academic, industry, etc.)
- Representing Consumer Center in project and update meetings (in French and English)
B) Biophysical assistant:
- Lead product sourcing (internal/external) in collaboration with key partners as well as storage
- Design tests methods for biophysical measures
- Conducting research (bibliographic, academic, industry, etc.)
- Management of tested products, preparations (purchase, labelling, storage and disposal, including compliance document, follow-up) following BPF or other referential
- Lead the statistical analysis to provide support to the technician for report
- Work proactively within the Head of Consumer Center to support development of new methodologies and protocols for biophysical measures according to business needs
- Implement appropriate training to ensure instruments are used in accordance with best practice
C) Participation in the maintenance and management of equipment and raw materials, consumables:
- Participate actively to the maintenance and good operations of the Consumer Center
- Manage the inventory of raw materials and consumables of the Consumer Center
- Ensure the supervision of operation, use and maintenance of consumer center equipment and measuring devices, along with consumer center facilities
- Implement and write up procedures related to its activities
- Respect BPF into the consumer center
- Participate in working groups within GIDC
D) Safety, Quality and Compliance:
- Share, apply and ensure the correct application of safety instructions, regulations and procedures
- Ensure that all operations are maintained in accordance with the appropriate quality and safety standards
- Inform manager or colleagues of any risk situations, using the safety alert system or any other appropriate measure
- Recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions
Your profile
- Degree in a scientific discipline with 1 year or more in the FMCH and/or FMCH sector
- At least one year experience in a sensory field
- Previous experience in leading sensory panels and/or facility management.
- Familiar with sensory techniques.
- Capable communicator
- Respect BPF
