Missions

Acquisition (PMS phase 1):

• support the acquisition of a new programs in the acquisition phase, working in several Acquisitions in parallel
• Identify the initial Program Quality objectives (0 Km, Warranty and specific customer quality indicators)
• Analysis of the customer requirement specifications Assess the relevant risks and trigger alert to the appropriate management level if necessary.
• At end of phase 1: handover to team of subsequent phase (e.g. to PQL)
• Development phases (PMS phases 2a – 4)
• Assess the relevant risks and trigger alert to the appropriate management level if necessary
• ensure a regular follow-up to achieve the Quality objectives all along the program
• Ensure the use of the appropriate methods and quality standards.
• Ensure a successful program handing over to the plant (if applicable, see below)
• Stand in front to be a good example in the structured way of working, documentation and the 5S approach
• PPAP and Handover to plant

Individual Tasks:

Specific for Acquisition:

• Support Concept and Customer Engineering in initializing the DFMEA
• Create an initial validation concept and estimate the costs
• Estimate yearly costs for COP tests
• Create gage concept and estimate the costs
• Analyze historical product//process data (claims, warranties, quality performance)
• Support Engineering in identifying relevant lessons learned
• Initiate the Quality target Study, identify related Risks and and build the respective mitigation plan

General (until hand over to the plant, i.e. GR#4):

• Understand customer requirements and trigger closure of any gaps
• Support Engineering in DFMEA Reviews (animation, software usage)
• Support and Monitor Geometric convergence by Meisterbock reviews
• Support Manufacturing in PFMEA Reviews (animation, software usage)
• Ensure consistency of KC definition
• Build control plans and update yearly costs (e.g. for COP tests)
• Fully responsible for gages, checking and testing fixtures (specification, purchasing request, follow up, R&R achievement, plant and customer acceptance)
• Follow up on Quality target Study and respective mitigation plan
• Apply Faurecia’s tools and methods for his perimeter (e.g. Problem solving methodology QRCI)
• Support team in Engineering change management (assessing risks, identifying impact on his perimeter e.g. validations and gages)
• Prepare and participate in PMS Reviews (Functional Milestones, TVR)
• Regular report on progress and status
• Maintain a good professional relationship with respective window persons at customer (normally Customer Supplier Quality Engineers, Customer Engineering and Customer Validation Engineers)
• Manage PPAP towards customer
• Support / provide any other deliverable as defined in FIS Program Management System (PMS)
• Provide customer quality requirements for BOP specifications
• Define boundary samples for customer delivery

Qualifications

• Master's or bachelor degree in engineering (mechanics, plastic industry, etc.)
• 2 years of proven experience in the Automotive industry in a Advanced Quality or similar position (Quality Planner)
• Knowledge and preferable practical experience in quality related tools and methodologies (functional analysis, FMEA, Special Characteristics management, reliability, problem solving, variability reduction, etc.)
• Experience in FMEA (e.g. animation)
• willing to travel, driving license for passenger cars
• good domain of German & English
• team player with good communication and presentation skills
• ability to work autonomously in international teams
• basic knowledge with SAP
• basic knowledge in usage standard IT tools (MS Excel, Outlook)
• basic knowledge of cost calculations
• basic knowledge of IATF 16949
• Good knowledge of customer PPAP processes and tools
• Good knowledge of customer methods to ensure quality before series
• Understanding Faurecia’s Excellence System
• Understanding Faurecia’s Program Management System (PMS)
• Good knowledge of Measurement Systems and related constraints (RPS)

Additional Specific Requirements for DAIMLER/BMW

• Create an initial validation concept and estimate the costs
• Estimate yearly costs for COP tests
• Obtain Warranty Data from plants and extract from partlink
• General
• Build DVP and PVP and estimate related costs
• PPAP to OEM in Customer System
• If applicable, answer program management PRR (preseries) in customer System GQTS

1. Qualifications:

• Familiar with developing and writing the gauge specifications, with mentoring the gauges manufacturing by the manufacturer
• Familiar with DAIMLER/BMW customer specific requirements to ISO/RS 16949 and related documents
• Familiar with PPAP in general according VDA and customer specific requirements (SQMS/B2B)
• familiar with BMW/DAIMLER development processes and applications (e.g. Special Terms/DAI DOC/B2B)
