Tasks

You will be part of an international team of engineers and process experts within the Silica Business Unit – we produce advanced products for semiconductor manufacturers globally. You will leverage your technical background to collaborate with external customers and drive internal improvement. You will strive to understand customer issues, identify solutions, coordinate internal efforts to resolve customer issues, and support expansion of the business. You will act as a technical product steward to identify high leverage continuous improvement opportunities for our products, manage change control, organize projects, lead technical investigations, and help shepherd new product qualification with our customers.
Up to 10% domestic and international travel required – primarily in France and Germany. Travel to Taiwan and other locations may occasionally be required as business need dictates.

Profile

  • BS degree in Chemical engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, or equivalent technical discipline
  • Experience as a process engineer in a high-tech or specialty chemical manufacturing environment
  • Able to lead short and long-term multi-faceted technical projects
  • Self motivated, with the ability to learn and work with limited supervision
  • Collaborative & adaptable mindset – able to excel in a multi-disciplinary team-based environment
  • Comfortable in a customer facing role or with supplier management and communication
  • Fluency in French & English (German Language proficiency is beneficial)
